Locals in Limpopo love artists such as King Monada, Sho Majozi, Master KG, The Double Trouble, Makhadzi, Candy Tsa Mandebele, Gami Swagga, Modjadeep.SADjLady Shiks, Innovative Djz, while around the world – Sho Majozi is the most streamed artist from Limpopo 2018 to Mid 2019.
Modjadeep.SA tops the list as the #1 internationally collaborative artist in all three categories of house music, from Deep House, Afro Tech House and Commercial House. The Bolobedu born duo also topped Traxsource, Beatport and Spotify’s most charted and playlisted artist from Limpopo.

#1. King Monada


King Monada’s reign to this list features the most popular track Malwedhe. South Africans Celebrated the birth of this track more than their national anthem.
Biography
Khutso Steven Kgatla, known by his stage name King Monada, is a South African singer, producer and song writer. He broke into fame for his hit single "Ska bhora moreki" in 2016. He's known for singing in "Khelobedu" language, which is a dialect of Northern Sotho language. His songs "Ska Bhora Moreki" and "Malwedhe" have received international attention In 2018, "Malwedhe" was expected to win song of the year, but Master KG's "Skeleton Move" was played on air as the winning song, sparking controversy over SABC's selection process.

#2. Sho Majozi

Biography
Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif (born 9 May 1992), known professionally as Sho Madjozi, is a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, actress and poet.[1] Regarded as one of the best performers in Africa. Madjozi incorporates the Tsonga culture through her music and public image.

Madjozi earned recognition following the release of her debut album Limpopo Champions League, which experimented in fusing elements from various genres including hip hop and Tsonga music.

#3. Master KG


Biography
Kgaogelo Moagi whose best known as Master KG, is a Limpopo-born South African producer and musician, best known for his hit debut album titled Skeleton Move.
Kgaogelo Moagi whose best known for his stage name as Master KG was born in 1996 in Calais village near Tzaneen, Limpopo. Master KG started singing and playing musical instruments at the age of 13 in 2009
Master KG is signed to Open Mic Productions, a company owned by Molau Rammala.
Master KG won Best artiste, duo, or group in African electro at the AFRICAN Awards 2018 for his song Skeleton Move Ft. Zanda Zakuza. He also got three nominations at Limpopo Music Awards including Song of the Year for Skeleton Move.

#4. Double Trouble

Bolobedu house is taking off. Double Trouble's Janisto (real name Jan Maluleke) and CK the DJ (real name Calvin Thaba) from Tzaneen, Limpopo, are part of the next crop of singers pushing this unique brand of South African music centre stage.
Their hit single, Be Careful, has earned this popular appeal and the video is on high rotation on TV channels.
The exponents of Bolobedu house say the dance-inducing track is typical of the genre, in that it has a simple yet catchy melody and the beat is unrelenting. While entertaining, it is packed with subliminal and direct messages. For instance, Be Careful is a warning to watch out for people with nefarious intentions that worm their way in other people's lives.
The pair have been at it for a while, without much success but they have finally aced the formula. Being signed to indie label Open Mic Production has given them all the confidence they needed to take on the rest of the industry.

#5. Makhadzi

Biography
Ndivhudzannyi Decorate Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, has already made her name in Limpopo province and now wants to go nationally.
Makhadzi, who is easily recognisable by her washboard abs, is on a mission to take the country by storm.
With six awards under her belt, she says the sky is the limit for her. She won two awards – best Tshivenda album and best female artist – at Fame SA Awards in 2016 and last year she swept away with four at the Tshivenda Music Awards.

#6. Camdy TsaMandebele


Biography
Candy Tsamandebele is an amazing vocal prowess was born in a musical family at Ga- Sedibeni Village, under the revered Rain Queen Modjadji leadership at Bolobedu in Limpopo Province in South Africa, Musically delicious as her names suggests, Candy was affected by this upbringing and has been interested in music for as long as she can remember.She started singing in her Mother’s community traditional group, Sekgapa, at the tender age of 14. Her mother was the group leader and also the percussionist of the act.
Candy launched her professional music career in 1993 as song writer on the legendary late Peter Teanet’s double multi-platinum seller, Nwa’yingwani. In 1993, Candy with her friend Nurse Matlala moved to the city of gold (JHB) to look for a recording deal and met up with Shaagan Disco King Papa Penny Penny, ending up working on his National hit “Shichangani-Lshilungu”.
In 1995, they launched their career as Shaka Bundu Girls with the platinum selling “HONA MO SOO” followed by the Gold certified “One Day” (1996),and “Hi July” in (1997). 
In 1999, after leaving Penny Penny’s stable Gallo Records at the time, they started to freelance as session musician, and later joined Kalawa Jazmee in 2004 where they were Christened CandyNurse by Oskido. This is when they become part of BOP’s Classic album, “Life Iskorokoro”, also working as the group’s backing crew.
The duo split in 2007.
In 2009, saw Candy go on her own and launched her solo career with her debut solo album, “Siki (Five Cents)” through Sony Music. Being a savvy person, she also decided to take her career to another level and started her Independent music label called Mosekedi Entertainment
Through Mosekedi Entertainment, she develops new up-and–coming artist and does community initiatives amongst others things.

#7. Modjadeep.SA



Biography
From the northern part of Limpopo in Tzaneen, South Africa. Modjadeep.SA is a duo of Producers, DJ’s and label owners, whose real name is Wisani Amukelani Mabunda(30) and Bongani Mabunda(27). Born and raised in Tzaneen Limpopo, they began their career around 2015, after moving to Midrand, South Africa. Their passion for music has allowed them to learn more about the music culture and the diverse audiences in the world.
Modjadeep.SA is considered the Expensive sound of Tzaneen. In 2015 Modjadeep.SA released a track titled Tribute to Boddhi Satva which got much attention from the west of Africa because of its ancestral feel, and they have released two albums as well as three Eps. Modjadeep.SA became prominent after participating in the Afro Warriors and Toshi uyakenteza remix in 2017. In October 2018, Modjadeep.SA released four EP’s including a remix for a Ukraine Dj, Bode V, just in the beginning of 2019, Modjadeep.SA gave their devotees a deep house album titled Deepassion II and a collaboration with the Brazilian producer David Marques, Twin turb from Botswana & Dj Renaldo of Lumbubashi in the Congo on several project which got featured on Spotify’s House Music South Africa Playlist and Traxsouce Charts. Modjadeep.SA was featured in most of the Afro House Compilations by a UK label LW Recordings. 
Modjadeep.SA has four upcoming projects in their pipe line, two of them with Angolan label Seres producoes, one with Ukrainian label Earthdie and one with Channel six.

#8 Gami Swaga

Biography
Gami Swaga is a Dj, Beat Maker (Producer) & a Fashion designer (Doggywear Clothing)
His dad Elia Malungani started a band way back in the 80's called COLOMBO. Gami was young and kept fiddling around with musical instruments, that's when the love and passion started. He became a music lover inspired by all types of music. He went to study sound Engeneering at Birnam Busness College in 2003/2004. After that, He started making beats recording my friends in the bedroom. He was discovered by his sister Portia Mamantuza who believed in him and thought his music was meant to be out there. 

#9. DjLady Shiks

Biography
Dyondzo Shikwambana known to her fans as Lady Shiks was born and bred in Makhuva village outside Giyani in the early 90’s.
Her love for music began when she was six years old.
Shiks said she used to envy DJ’s at local parties when growing up and she told herself that one day she will be just like them.
After matriculating at Makulu High School in 2009, she enrolled for a Bsc Water and Sanitation Degree at the University of Limpopo ( Polokwane Campus) in 2010. Her love for soulful and dance house music started during her stay in Polokwane. She self-taught herself the basics of being a DJ, using a computer with the help from DJ Phonetic from 5fm.
After completing her degree she went to register for SCIM DJ 101 course at the Soul Candi Institution of Music. ‘I was inspired by DJ Kent,’ she said.
She has shared a stage with the likes of DJ Kent, Black Coffee, DaCapo, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai, Oskido, Problem Child, Casper Nyovest, K.O, Black Motion, Gemini Major and many more. She has performed in one of Limpopo’s big events, the annual Marula Festival in Phalaborwa, Nasty C Invasion, Polokwane Beach party, Black coffee Invasion, Divas Night, Ndhuma ya Van’wanati Easter Festival, Giyani Fashion Show, Phangweni Vibes, GCR FM launch, MLFM Women’s Day celebration, Miss Giyani and Mambedi lodge annual pool party.

#10. Innovative Djs


Biography
Lebogang Seoka – one-half of rising house music duo Innovative DJz.
Together with his partner Kgahliso Manthata, they have been producing house tunes and spinning the decks in clubs for the past four years.
The duo is currently pushing their latest single Dubai, featuring Thabza Berry and Athalia More. They have gained traction on radio stations such as Ikwekwezi FM, Thobela FM and Motsweding FM.
Similarly, their biggest fan-base is in Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo. They are starting to gradually penetrate the North West market.
Their dream collaboration is with Heavy K, Bucie and Nokwazi.
Innovative DJz have also produced songs for King Salama.
